Labor Day in Memphis
While Daddy had to work some on the weekend and also had a golf tournament, the kids and I loaded the car and headed to Memphis. We never know what we are going to do until we get there...but there is always something going on. On Friday, we were going to meet Libby at the Botanical Gardens for their Big Back Yard exhibit, but the rain hindered those plans. So, we went to the children's museum instead. This is a great place to go and explore many different things like the flying an airplane, fish in a flowing stream, shop and check out at the grocery store, dance in the disco room, drive a fire truck and police car...you name it, they have it. Libby and Abby had so much fun together. Hudson, Honey, and I loved watching the girls play. After the fun morning, we met KK and Knox for lunch. Then that night the whole crew came for pizza. Abby and Libby played and Knox somewhat acknowledged Hudson. I think the next time they play, he will realize that Hudson will be more fun to play with than the girls who like to dress up and play dolls. That was just the first full day.
I actually read an entire book...and for those of you who know me know I hardly ever pick up a book, much less finish it. My friends recommended it to me and what a great recommendation it was. It was the first book in the Karen Kingbury series called Redemption. She is a Christian fiction author. I look forward to reading more in the series.
Hudson is feeling tons better. Hopefully, his ears are all clear and no more fever to worry about. It was tough to get back in the swing of things since Monday was a holiday, but we did it. Now it's almost the weekend again!
grocery shopping
Abby is either going to a prom in the 80's or a friend picked out a very tacky bridesmaid dress!
What's next???
