Traveling through Tennessee

Our first stop was to see Graham Geshke in Nashville. He is just a few weeks old. We also saw Kevin and Shellye (now known as Graham's parents). After that, we detoured to Marty & Liz shoe store. This is a place with designer shoes at great prices. They were worn on a runway and then sent to this store to sell. Abby loved to pick out shoes for me to try on. She loves shoes, so she had a lot of fun. So, I bought two pair of shoes and a purse which Abby carried around and got too close to the door and the alarm went off. My own little shop lifter. The clerks laughed, and we did pay for it before we left. Then we were off to see Gena (GG, what Abby calls her) and John. Abby had fun playing with them and Westin, their dog. After breakfast Saturday morning, Abby and I left to see Uncle Kirk, Aunt Tara, and Courtlyn in McMinnville.

Abby did not know what she had in store for her. At their beautiful new house, Courtlyn has her very own play room filled with toys. Abby had so much fun. Courtlyn even let her ride in her Barbie Jeep! After a day of football and playtime, everyone was very tired and went to sleep.

Sunday, we woke up and said by to Uncle Kirk, Aunt Tara, and Courtlyn and drove back to Alabama.

This is the best part...the food. Let me just tell you what I had to eat this weekend. Lunch on Friday with the Geshkes was the salad from Calypso that I ate all the time when I lived in Nashville. Then dinner, Gena fixed crab stuffed shrimp and mushrooms and John fixed me cake, ice cream and hot fudge. Saturday morning, John fixed a great breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast. Kirk fixed chicken, ribs, and baked beans for lunch, of course on the Big Green Egg. For dinner, he grilled a prime rib and Tara fixed some vegetables. And then Sunday morning, Tara fixed some eggs, bacon, toast and Sister Sherbert blueberry rolls. So now that I have gone on about the wonderful food I ate, here are some pictures from the journey...
