14 months old
We can't believe it! 14 months since we brought little Abby home from the hospital. She has so much personality and of course stubborness. We can't figure out where she get's it??? She is a joy to be around everyday. She babbles all the time and pretty much runs everywhere. Abby got her first set of stitches on the eve of her 14 month old birthday. It was bound to happen somethime since she is so active but did not expect that I would not be there. Daddy did a great job and said that Abby was a trooper. If she did not have stitches or a band-aid on, you could not tell anything is wrong. Overprotective Mommy is really watching her every move to make sure that she does not hit her forehead again. Monday, August 20 will be double the milestones. Her first day of preschool and her first trip to the doctor to get her stitches out. I never new what my parents meant when they told me they were hurting more than me until this happened. I was a basketcase while Abby was her energetic self. Just the first of many injuries to come.
Abby starts doing something new and amazing (at least to me) everyday. Pictured below are some of her favorite activities now:

looking at books, especially the one with Pops and her peek-a-boo flip book which she flips herself

Listening to and dancing to music (she even turns on her cd player)

putting on her shoes
and...taking a nap (in her Dora band-aid)

okay, she is soooo tough! If it hit my head and had stitches I would not be up and running around! She is precious. clay told me to tell you that he too hit his head and had stitches when he was Abby's age and he turned out fine. (that fact is completely debatable...hahaha.)
