A Reunion with Friends

(Ashley Williams, me, Sarah Martin, Lenzie Lane, and Allyson Harper)

I began my trip at the Martins on Thursday night in Auburn. It was great to visit with Sarah, Joseph, and especially their son Ford. Friday morning, I had the privledge to babysitt Ford while Sarah and Joseph sold their house (Yippee). He is an angel and really liked me a lot. We played and he ate lunch. What a great start to the weekend. Friday afternoon, Sarah and I drove to Dothan to pick up Lenzie and headed to Panama City to stay with Allyson.

We got dressed up, which all of us rarley do with our busy schedules, to go to dinner.
We met Erika and had a wonderful dinner and conversation Friday night. Then we stayed up until 1:30AM, again which we never do anymore, and caught up on everything, even looked at college pictures. It does not seem like 5 years since we graduated.
Saturday, Ashley drove up for the day, and we went to the beach and relaxed, walked and swam. Then we showered up and went shopping. It was different shopping without a stroller, diaper bag, purse, and a 22lb person. After hours of finding great deals, we had to say good-bye to Ashley and headed to the Red Bar for the delicious crab cakes. We sat outside and enjoyed another great dinner.
I then received a call from Brent at 11:30pm which I answered "what's wrong?" Unfortunatley, he had returned from the emergency room where Abby had to get 8 stitches in her forehead. Abby was great through the whole thing and so was Daddy. They were eating dinner at Wes and Anne's where Abby fell and hit her head on their coffee table. Since she never crawled or walked, just ran, we knew it would happen sooner or later. She is doing great, and we will get her stitches out at the end of the week. I am so thankful for great friends: high school, college, and in Decatur. They are a blessing from God

HOLY CANOLI! I can't believe it! I bet you were so worried... does this mean you won't be back to the beach for a long time!?? :( I hope not! Kisses to Abby and I sure hope she heals quickly. Maybe this was her lesson to "slow down". I sure loved seeing you Bourland!! Come back soon!!
