Before and After Part I
Many of you have seen our renovation journey since May. Some parts were extremely fun and other parts were frustrating and difficult. I am not the best decision maker but I had to become one...fast. We have been in about a month and still have plenty of things to do, but wanted to share some before and after pictures of our new house
This is the outside before 
after...We enclosed the carport and added a front porch, new carport and circle driveway

after...we knocked out the wall between original living room and carport and also the wall between the living room and kitchen, added hardwood floors throughout

after...we wanted an open floor plan between the dining room, kitchen, and family room
kitchen before
after...we ripped out the lovely yellow metal cabinets and added custom cabinets along with new appliances, light fixtures, and island. the pass through window goes into the playroom where we will put antique windows when we find some we like

we added timbers between the kitchen/dining and the family room
outside storage before
after...it's now our powder room

There were three original bedrooms and a bathroom on the left side of the house. We painted, ripped up carpet and refinished the floors for the bedrooms and changed the tile and toilet in the kids' bath along with painted and installed a new door

WOW!!!! You made it BEAUTIFUL!!! I love, love, love it! Love the open floor plan! Seems so comfy and home-ey! :) I know y'all are enjoying it! Can't wait to come see with my own 2 eyes soon! Maye over Christmas we can make it! THRILLED for you!

Nice photos! I really enjoyed reading this post and so amazed of the fantastic transformation of the house. Abby's new room is cute!
Well, we're planning a house remodeling next month. I'm having a hard time in choosing the best carport roofing. Chantilly, VA stores had an array of roofing materials to choose from, so I'm grateful for that.
