Day 120
What a Week!

There hasn't been much to update lately. Timing is very important in construction. I knew it before, but now I really understand how crucial it is. One thing has to be completed before something else begins. So the spray foam was being installed and the HVAC guy was waiting for them to finish. After the HVAC guys finish, the dry wall is supposed to be put up. So, the City of Decatur (need I say more...well for some of you I guess so) came to inspect the insulation and said it was not sufficient. Brent knows a lot more about it than I do, but all I know is that we tried an environmental friendly insulation and got penalized for it. So, the inspector stopped the HVAC installation so he couldn't finish which means the dry wall guys could not hang the dry wall over the weekend.

BUT, we did receive good news. We got our variance we needed to build our carport. We had to go to the city and get it approved because we had to build a little over the property line. So, we get our carport! The insulation guys finished and the HVAC guys should be finished tomorrow and the dry wall should be put in by the end of the week. WHEW!
