"Crafty" Abby
Abby created a masterpiece at school today.
We visited the Plastic surgeon yesterday. There is nothing we can do about it now except to keep suncreen on the scar as well as Mederma. He said that the scar might stretch a little b/c she will grow fast in a short amount of time. The scar will begin to fade, but the redness will be prevalent for another 6-8 months. We go back to see him in 5 months. We have a few options then including redoing the scar...which I don't know exactly know what he meant but I guess we'll find out then. Right now, it has a scab on the cut so you can really see it. Hopefully as it fades, I won't have people constantly asking me what happened.

When we arrived, everyone in her class was crying. Abby wanted down and started playing. She strolled a baby in a stroller and played with a ball while I was there. When I left, there were still some crying. Abby is the youngest in her class, but I think she is wise beyond her years and knows she is going to have fun at school. She received another great report today. She cried a little(probably her sympathy cry), played with others and by herself, enjoyed playing with books, a ball, bubbles, and listening to music. She ate a snack and drank lemonade. Then of course her first craft. Whoever thought that I would be putting a masterpiece from my daughter on the fridge so soon. There will be many more to come.
Among all that has happened this week, I did something to my back. Not good timing when Abby is running everywhere and wanting me to carry her. Laying on heat helps and I did get some medicine but it makes me really sleepy so I can only take it at night. Extra help is on the way. Honey and Pops are coming this weekend to play with Abby, oh, and I guess hang out with Brent and me. Abby is so excited and can't wait until they arrive.

So sorry about your back - I did that a couple of months ago and it is NO FUN! I'm glad Abby had a great second day. Maybe her attitude will rub off on the other kids in her class. Ford still cries every morning when I drop him off with Pat, so maybe she can give him some pointers!
