Gone Fishing

I have always loved fishing. Deep Sea fishing, I can do without. Standing on land is better for the stomach than rocking back and forth continuously in the middle of the ocean. My family was not that big into fishing so I usually fished with friends' families. So, I was excited to get Mary Bibb's invitation in the mail for a fishing birthday party. Abby couldn't wait to fish even though she did not know what to expect. She kept asking me to put her bathing suit on. I told her after she saw the water, she wouldn't want to jump in. She did have a great time fishing. We have not bought her a fishing pole yet, so we borrowed a cane pole at the party. Daddy bated the hook with a cricket and off she went to fish all by herself. My fear was she would fall face first in the pond. Luckily, we all came back dry. She had a lot of fun even though she did not catch anything. I have a feeling there will be more fishing trips in the future...on land.
