What a Weekend!!!
Abby went to Memphis to visit Honey and Pops while Mama and Dada went to 2 events celebrating Brent's latest project. Thursday night, we went to a black tie gala for the grand opening of the Davidson Center for Space Exploration. This was Brent's job for the past 1 1/2 years. It was a sit down dinner for over 1400 guests. The building's main attraction is the Saturn V rocket that landed on the moon. In addition, it has a museum, theatre, and you can cater events there. It opens to the public on February 9. If you live near Huntsville, you should go check it out!
Friday night, we went to a banquet hosted by the Association of Builders and Contractors. They handed out Awards of Excellence. The Davidson Center for Space Exploration won the award in their division. Then at the end of the night, the very last award was for Project of the Year and no one new who won. Then they called Brent's project. The CEO and COO of the Space and Rocket Center were sitting at our table, and they were very excited the job won.
