19 months old and happy as can be!

This past month has been one of my favorites. Abby is getting more and more independent by the day. She does not have to have me in the room every second of the day and she plays well by herself. Most of the time, I'm right along with her playing with puzzles, dolls, dress up, and her favorite, reading books. She has started climbing on everything. Chairs, couches, and anything that is her height. She loves to climb on the rocking chair and rock (pictured below). She babbles all the time and says a real word here and there. Her word of the month is "DaDa." She loves to point to all his stuff and say DaDa. Her other word of the month is "shoe." She likes to point to everyone's shoes. She has a field day in my closet. She is getting really good at saying "please" and "thank you." "MaMa" is usually said when she want something, ususally pointing to the cabinet with the food in it. She understands everything we say to her. It's a lot easier to ask her simple questions like "do you want to go night night" and she tells us the answer or nods her head.
She is getting better at minding what I say. Don't get me wrong, we still have a long way to go. Abby got a potty for Christmas and likes to sit on it and tells me when she needs to go to the potty. It sounds a lot more advanced than it really is. We still have a long way to go on the potty training. She likes to go to the mall, especially when she gets to ride the carousel. We went to Gap today and she had to check out every piece of clothing in the store. She might not lok like me but she has my shopping gene. Brent and I can't wait to see what happens next. These 19 months have gone fast but we've enjoyed
most every minute of it!

She's a cutie! Ford loves to brush his teeth too, but he keeps putting his toothbrush in "hiding" places and I only find it after I've gone out and bought another one! Joseph found one in his dump truck today...he's a little rascal! Glad to see some new pics of Miss Abby!
